County of Santa Clara Hosts Regional Business Summit
Opportunity for local, small, and diverse businesses to build relationships and learn about business opportunities with public agencies
WHAT:
The County of Santa Clara’s Vendor Outreach Program will host the “2024 Contract Connect: Bridging Opportunities for Businesses” on Aug. 27 in San José, as a one stop shop for all businesses to learn how to contract with public agencies, transit and utilities, and general contractors. Regional government agencies will be there to offer guidance and build relationships with local, small, and diverse businesses. Businesses can speak with representatives from public agencies such as the U.S. Small Business Administration, California Department of General Services, the County of Santa Clara, Valley Transportation Authority, the City of San José and more. They can also connect with area general contractors and access low and no-cost support resources for mentoring, training, and capital, and find out how to get certified as a small business.
There will be presentations, an exhibitor hall, one-on-one meetings, door prizes, giveaways and more. Local food trucks will be on site for participants to purchase meals.
The event is free. Interested participants can get more information and register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/contract-connect-2024-tickets-925599863107.
