ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT COLLABORATIVE OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY

The mission of the Santa Clara County Foster Family Agency Recruitment Collaborative is to provide every youth in foster care an opportunity to reach their full potential through collaborative recruitment efforts that increase the number of Trauma Informed Resource Families in Santa Clara County, and that support reunification and other permanency options such as Adoption and Legal Guardianship. Our goal is to be collaborative in our efforts in recruitment, education, marketing and communication to ensure that no potential Resource/Foster Parent is lost due to insufficient information and/or lack of responsiveness. We want to ensure that all potential families are offered a choice in the agency that best meets the resource/foster parent needs.

ABOUT CHILD ADVOCATES OF SILICON VALLEY

Child Advocates of Silicon Valley is a member of the National CASA organization, a network of nearly 1,000 local community programs supporting children in the foster care system who have experienced abuse and neglect. By matching volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) with dependent children, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley ensures that the needs and best interests of foster children in our program are met. Because volunteers are court-appointed, they can thoroughly research every aspect of a child’s case, including meeting teachers, social workers and resource/foster parents. Advocates provide reports to the court so judges can make decisions with clear and accurate information. In addition to representing children in court, CASAs serve as friends and mentors. Child Advocates of Silicon Valley provides stability and hope to children who have experienced abuse and neglect by being a powerful voice in their lives. https://bemyadvocate.org
